01Who we are

Flosser Wand is a product of Latest Wheel LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" mean Latest Wheel LLC. "You" means anyone who visits flosserwand.com or buys from us.

This policy covers flosserwand.com and any other site we operate that links to it. It does not cover other companies' websites, including the ones we link to or the ones that process payments for us. Those have their own policies.

02What we collect

Information you give us

• Your email address, if you sign up for updates or ask to be told when a new run opens.
• Your name, email address, shipping address, and billing address, when you place an order.
• Your phone number, if you provide one for shipping purposes.
• A discount or reservation code, if you were one of our early depositors and you redeem it.
• Whatever you write to us, if you email us with a question or a problem.
• Your answer to an on-site question, if you use the one-question quiz to get a floss code. We store your answer alongside your email so we can send you the right code and understand what people find hardest about flossing. We do not send your answer to any advertising or analytics company.

Payment information

Checkout is handled by Stripe. Your card number, expiration date, and security code go directly to Stripe. We never see them, and they are never stored on our servers. What we do receive back from Stripe is the information needed to fulfill and support your order: your name, email, shipping address, what you bought, the amount, and the last four digits and card brand.

If you add the free Flosser ring at checkout, we record that your order includes one so we can pack it. If you also tick “Email me when the finished Flosser ring launches”, we record that choice with your order and use your email address for that one announcement. It is unticked by default, we do not tick it for you, and leaving it alone changes nothing about your order. If that list is managed in MailerLite, your email address is shared with them for it. You can unsubscribe from any such email, or write to chris@flosserwand.com and we will remove you.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, ours records some technical information when you visit:

• IP address and approximate location derived from it
• Browser type, operating system, device type, and screen size
• Which pages you viewed, in what order, and how long you stayed
• The site or ad that referred you to us
• Whether you added something to your cart or started checkout

This is collected through Google Analytics, the Meta pixel and the Reddit pixel, described in section 05.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number, date of birth, government ID numbers, or any health or dental records. Please do not send us any of these.

03How we use it

• To fulfill your order. Making it, packing it, shipping it, and sending you tracking.
• To send you a receipt and any necessary updates about your order, including delays.
• To answer you when you contact us.
• To send you email you asked for, such as product news or notice that a new run has opened. You can stop these at any time.
• To honor a reservation code you hold from an earlier deposit.
• To understand how the site is used, so we can fix what is broken and improve what is not.
• To measure our advertising, so we can tell which ads led to orders and stop paying for the ones that did not.
• To keep the site working and secure, including preventing fraud and abuse of discount codes.
• To meet our legal and tax obligations, including keeping records of sales.

We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

04Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money.

We do share it with the companies that run parts of our business for us. Each one only receives what it needs, and each has its own privacy policy governing what it does with it:

We may also disclose information if we are legally required to, such as in response to a valid subpoena or court order, or where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect someone's safety or to investigate fraud. If Latest Wheel LLC is ever sold or merged, customer information may transfer as part of that transaction, and this policy would continue to apply until you are told otherwise.

05Cookies and tracking

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. We and the services listed above use cookies and similar technologies for three purposes:

• Making the site work. Remembering what is in your cart and keeping you moving through checkout.
• Analytics. Google Analytics 4 tells us how many people visit, which pages they read, and where they leave. We look at this in aggregate.
• Advertising measurement, Meta. The Meta pixel tells us when someone who saw one of our ads on Facebook or Instagram later visited the site or placed an order. It also allows Meta to show our ads to people who have visited before.
• Advertising measurement, Reddit. The Reddit pixel does the same job for ads we run on Reddit.

What the advertising services are told when you buy

When an order completes, Meta and Reddit are each sent the order total and a reference number for that order, so a sale can be matched to the ad that led to it. The reference number is the same one shown on your receipt.

Meta is also sent your email, phone, name and address in hashed form. Hashing is a one-way scramble: we send a long string of characters rather than the details themselves, and it cannot be turned back into them. Meta uses it to tell whether the buyer matches one of its own accounts. This happens on our server rather than in your browser, so blocking cookies does not prevent it. We do not send Reddit any of this — Reddit receives only the order total and the reference number.

How to turn this off

• Google Analytics: install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• Meta: adjust your Meta ad preferences or your off-Facebook activity settings.
• Reddit: adjust your Reddit privacy and personalization settings.
• Your browser: every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, including third-party cookies. Blocking all cookies may stop checkout from working.
• Industry opt-outs: YourAdChoices and the Network Advertising Initiative.

06Do Not Track

Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is still no agreed industry standard for what a site should do when it receives one, and our site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. We are telling you this plainly because California law asks us to disclose it either way. The opt-out methods in section 05 do work, and are the more reliable route.

We do not allow third parties to collect personally identifiable information about your activity across other websites through our site, beyond the advertising measurement described in section 05.

07Your choices and rights

You can ask us to do any of the following, and we will honor the request regardless of where you live and regardless of whether a particular law requires us to:

• Tell you what we hold about you.
• Correct it if it is wrong.
• Delete it. Note that we may need to keep records of completed transactions to meet tax and accounting obligations.
• Stop emailing you. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and it works immediately. You will still receive messages about an order you have actually placed.
• Give you a copy of what you provided to us.

Email chris@flosserwand.com and say what you want. We aim to respond within 30 days. We may need to verify who you are first, usually by confirming you control the email address associated with the information.

We will not discriminate against you for making a request. You will not be charged a different price or given a worse product.

08How long we keep it

• Order records: as long as needed for warranty, support, and tax purposes. Tax records are generally kept for seven years.
• Email subscription: until you unsubscribe, and then only the minimum needed to make sure we do not email you again by mistake.
• Reservation codes: until redeemed or expired, plus a short period for reconciliation.
• Analytics data: according to the retention settings of the services in section 04, typically no more than 14 months for detailed records.
• Emails you send us: as long as needed to resolve the matter, and generally no longer than three years.

09Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Payment card data goes directly to Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified processor, and is never stored by us. Access to our systems is limited to people who need it, and protected by strong, unique credentials.

We should be straightforward with you: no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we are a very small company. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and nobody honestly can. If we ever become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any regulator that must be notified, as required by law.

10Children

Flosser Wand is sold to adults. The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Regarding the product itself rather than the website: a flossing tool is not a toy, and it should be kept away from young children and used by older children only with adult supervision.

11Links to other sites

This site links to other companies' websites, and our checkout hands you to Stripe. Once you are on someone else's site, their privacy policy governs, not ours. We are not responsible for how other companies handle your information, though we do choose our vendors with that in mind.

12Where your information is handled

We operate in the United States and your information is stored and processed here. Some of the services listed in section 04 operate globally and may process data in other countries under their own policies and safeguards. If you are contacting us or ordering from outside the United States, you are sending your information to the United States.

13Changes to this policy

We will update this page when what we do changes. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version. If we make a change that materially affects how we use information we already hold about you, we will tell you by email before it takes effect, at the address we have for you.
